Hey, I'm a graduate student studying history and philosophy of economics. I came across this (http://www.theregister.co.uk/2007/09/07/derivative_modelling/) article on The Register regarding the subprime crisis and VBA. I'm having trouble finding further writing on the topic, and I was wondering if anyone here could offer any insight / direction.
In general I'm interested in how models are tinkered with by analysts to make them work in practical situations.
Thanks!

Try NP, e.g. this thread. There's also this book.
