1) You did not offend me.  I am just telling you that you are not stating any facts.  You are stating your opinion but you still choose to ignore that point (which is fine).

2) I did not assume you are from any tier schools.

3) Times are rough.  Deal with it.  My opinion has always been that people studying in the collegiate level of education should in fact go to a subject they are interested in not because they want to get a high paying job to pay off their tuition.  If you believe in the latter, then that is your opinion but there are many students paying 40k a year to study something like sociology.

I don't see why people are getting all worked up about this. I think AlHindi's opinion (gotta be careful as semantics - and spelling - seems to a be a hot issue here) is perfectly valid.
Was it worth it?

Okay, if I can turn a sphere inside out with smooth isotopy, how come I can't turn the manifold that is myself inside out to see why my stomach hurts?

Fair rant and the same can be said for MBAs.

my school was named as subprime down below, guess that is another stamp of pride for me that my career successes are all mine, and not just 'guilt by association' like so many other tossers in the biz

it's up to you to decide what team you play for but grumbling just means you accept your place on the bench instead of the field, that's my take.

might've been an easier life for me to be on the top-ranked team but just b/c I was not lucky does not mean I am spiteful and really I don't give a shit, life wasn't meant to be easy anyhow
my bank got pwnd
