Thanks for posting this... I'm going to show it to my 12-yr-old in spite of the dark ending, to show him that the world did not (and will not) always have iPods and XBoxes.

Reminds me of the Big Bang Theory intro:

"Our whole universe was in a hot dense state,

Then nearly fourteen billion years ago expansion started. Wait...

The Earth began to cool,

The autotrophs began to drool,

Neanderthals developed tools,

We built a wall, we built the pyramids,

Math, science, history, unraveling the mysteries,

That all started with the big bang!"

Yes, 12 yrs old indeed be careful

my nephew (younger at that time) some time ago when the newspaper reported that the earth would come to end by an asteroid in not so long ( i would be dead but he would be not so old) was depressed and scared for many weeks...like he said it means I am not to have a full life? what to say...
