Decreasing forum activities

Want to sincerely thank you folks for starting and maintaining this treasure trove of a forum, as well as all those who contributed to make it what it was/is. Don't feel it's unreasonable to label it one of the great hidden gems of the financial forum universe. Even though I'm an independent "meat and potatoes" CME trader (was a late newcomer to floor, carved out my career in the early electronic transition & still going strong today), have learned many nuggets of wisdom that would not have been possible as an outsider to your institutional world. Back in the day, I did not know who I was learning from, being humbled by, or interacting with. But with relative ease, one could tell there were serious top-shelf professionals hiding behind these handles. Pretty inspiring to say the least. Now I'm left combing through the depths of Twitter, littered with imbeciles, trying find you types. It's just not the same...or really possible.

At least we still have the historical search function...

If there is ever a situation where FDAX wants to stop, please make it public so we can figure out a way for others to keep it up and running. Thanks again all! Miss the action of this place, esp in the lead-up to the GFC and subsequent 3-4yrs.

I like the fintwit community. Though hard to be quanty in that amount of characters (but i not that quanty so it works for me)

Agreed- while old-school, this forum is eminently functional aside from the spam. Isolated credentials/auth also make it conveniently anonymous...

NP does indeed work, but it could work better. Fewer shills & trolls would be nice. Links to posts (rather than to threads only) would also be nice.

NP has taught me a lot and I would be happy to donate some of my free time to improve it — assuming that my coding skills are of any use for such project.

Agreed, I have only been here for a short time, and am just starting my career. But I have not seen this level of (public) discussion in any other corner of the internet. Would happily contribute a few hours of dev time or a few dollars for hosting.

As a newcomer to the industry, I've found front office roles are unbelievably difficult to get. It seems a few number of people are exceptionally productive in this industry and everyone else gets locked out.
