C# or C++?

Post by doobs »

Thanks guys, this is very helpful.

Unfortunately I bought "C# for dummies" from the local B&N before I read this post, and it was almost completely useless (with the exception of where to download some free stuff).

I'm just getting back into coding after a number of years and I'm looking for a practical exercise related to phynance, most likely that Ch2 case study. If you guys can think of a cool practical exercise for me to play around with please shoot me an email.

Hi FDAX

Can you send this tutorial (or better, if the march of time has crafted something better) to me?

c# really is fantastic - and FAST - but there are just a couple of things that we can't work out, and we haven't found books that answer our questions.

FDAX,

though I am loathe to code in thing(s) other than APL, it would probably

serve me well if you could send me that C# info/tutorial/problem-set as well.

thanks for taking the time,

Maybe respectable members of the forum could come up with a set of problems for everyone, something like Project Euler for math/finance?
