Oh ffs, you are posting a review from someone whose book you have reviewed positively, and who has also followed the same trick of reviewing his own book.

It's bad enough that on W****tt you have people 5 mins out of school dispensing career advice as if they're in the industry 20 years.

But to actually write a book on the back of the monumental achievement of actually getting a job is asinine.

I reviewed Jiu’s work because it served as an inspiration for my own book. Self-reviewing is fine as long as it’s done openly. I did it to offset the absence of the “look inside” feature for Kindle books.

I am all for hearing from the experienced people on the subject of entry-level quant job search, but I don’t believe it’s going to happen (my response to FDAXHunter explains why). Roughly speaking, a 20-year veteran dispensing advice on entry-level job search strategies is an oxymoron.

I am not sure why you would say that. If you mean that getting a job has been trivial for you, you are well beyond my intended audience.

Overall, this book project has been a great exercise in personal growth for me. I learned lots about myself and others. For instance, who would have thought that a decent number of people (I mean this thread) will be willing to criticize a book they never read?
