by editing old posts, you basically strip the value of old threads after you've already gotten what you need from it. def not in the spirit of the phorum, and a pretty ridiculous thing to do generally.

It makes sense if any of the people who've posted in this thread in response to my initial inquiry actually think that I did something selfish.



If you've actually read the posts that I edited away, I think you would understand that I wasn't doing any misfavor to the future readers by updating that I solved the problem by my own later, so they are aware that my inquiry isn't pertinent anymore. I wasn't removing any content that would benefit another reader and least of all did I expect someone would revive this old thread. And most of all, I edited the posts only today, as I thought the thread would have little marginal value to others after so long.



I'm not going to contest ctd or Tradenator's views, but I'm also not changing my mind that Phantom309 has an ugly personality.

Me thinks, it's time for Ser Ilyn to inflict some "Pain" Blendertime

You can't just delete stuff after you've got what you want from it, especially after people have taken the time & effort to reply. It doesn't work like that. A simple "Thanks, I've got what I need." would have sufficed.



I'm not going to jump on the blender wagon, but you haven't done yourself any favors.

Well, I WAS following the thread. Something today made me think of it... I went to go and check... and it was gone.



I never insulted you. You are probably a nice person. I have no authority to hail Ser Ilyn Payne to "resurrect" what you wrote... and frankly, I don't want to bother him and I no longer care to remember why I decided to come back to a thread I was following in the past.



Your actions, alone, have "trashed" this thread. Not mine. Wasn't that your purpose by deleting your posts? To make its existence obsolete? Why are you taking issue with me?

That's exactly what I did, I've thanked every person who responded and I've made it a point to give useful color in response for whatever I've received. I left everything there for 3 months, even came back to add my conclusion to it, until today when it's so far down the front page that I'm sure my posts no longer have a marginal benefit to anyone else.

You've not contributed on my thread before this. What does this make of you? You're the worst, selfish leech, only reading from the shadows for your own benefit, and coming out to make a character assassination just because I figured there's someone like you who's just here to sponge up the content on threads as far back as 8 years old. And all you do is post about religion and stir up the dust like this to increase the noise.
