I often find myself staring at these things wondering just how the minds that made them work...maybe the authors are just playing six dimensional chess and I am a 2 dimensional ant at the corner of the board...



I'm giving a talk a talk soon and wanted a slide that had a good example of an inspiring chart. Like art, one knows a good chart when one sees a good chart....



I remember a few good ones come from the desk's resident chartist in 2008, but didn't save any of them. If anyone can find a good one (preferably FX and attributable to someone with a bit of a name), please post.

I think HankScorpio gets the credit for pointing out the Black Swan Chart Pattern to me.  I keep the picture prominently displayed at my desk to remind me not to fall into the trap of believing too much in any forecast or pattern.

Just could not find my most preferred one. The guy had fitted an ellipse to the EURUSD demonstrating the rate was about to go back in time!

I shouldn't kid too much, my partner recently befriended a currency trader that uses some TA and would have given early 2000's P. Rotter a run for his money.

Ed Ponsi on CNBC - he's my favorite clown. Nothing like a 6 second TA "recommendation" in response to a tweet!
