New Feature: RSS Feed for Recent Posts.

Hail.

I've added an RSS Feed that syndicates recent updates to all threads.

Looks good. Thanks. However the escape codes may need some tweaking: for instance, "Must attend" Quant Conferences comes out at "Must attend" Quant Conferences in Firefox 1.0.7.

Hail rogaine. Thank you for your feedback.

I'll see what I can do. However, I have to add that even though HTML control characters are not part of the original RSS Spec, they are commonly used. I have checked the feed with 4 readers (2 for Windows, 2 for Mac) and they parse the HTML just fine.

But I'll look into it.

The feed works fine for me except for the problem with escape codes rogaine mentioned. I use Firefox 1.5 now and have the same problem.

NB: This feed was a feature I was actually missing here in the phorum. Now it is easier to see older threads. Thanks a lot !

How would you add this feed in firefox? I do have a

"sea shell" in the navigation toolbar, but when I drag it

to the bookmarks, it shows the old RSS feed which displayed

new threads. Thanks.

Braincat,

what I did was to copy an existing feed (NP naturally) and to substitute the feed adress by the link Ser Ilyn Payne posted. You can access the feed adress by right-clicking and choosing "Properties". Works fine for me, altough it is a bit cumbersome.

thanks for the advice, that worked.

Firefix is supposed to give a choice of there are several

feeds available, but its "shell" icon didn't detect two

feeds for some reason.

when I click on the feed I get the whole XML, but no link. This works only if I click the icon in the adress bar. Do you have the same problem ? Not sure what you mean by "to give a choice of there are several

feeds available".

I've fixed the following issues:

[*]Firefox now displays both RSS feeds in it's "Live Bookmarks" icon.
[*]Firefox now correctly displays "Special" characters.
