SuSE or Mandrake

Now RH is going down the corporate route for beaucoup dollar, and because there'll be no RH10.0 - for home, should I go for SuSE (with IBM's backing) or Mandrake? I write this on RH9.0 and am used to RH so convergence with RH similarity is a bonus.

I could not get my adsl modem to work with Mandrake. There was some esoteric crap that I wasn't interested enough to do. Threfore I haven't really looked at it.

I haven't tried Suse.

Try both.

I've got a router at home so I don't anticipate any problems with it - 'software' modems are fun to get going under Linux though.

What a blasphemy! Smiley FreeBSD is a branch of the BSD 4.4 (the father of much of the Unixs around).

Apple just figure out they need a decent OS and went for the best cost/benefit that they could find.
