I want to develop a better understanding of the currencies which are currently officially pegged to the dollar.
Is there any instrument or a set of instruments out there which represent the basket of international currencies pegged to the dollar? I am not sure how many of these currencies are freely tradable; do not know where to start. Perhaps there is a way to synthetically construct such an instrument from existing instruments.
Will appreciate any pointers or documents related to this topic.

FDAXHunter posted a guide to EM FX on NP - that might help.
And 'what Tabris said' - there are 'pegs', managed floats, etc.

Take a look at the IMF classification (updated twice a year).
