Trading NDFs electronically?

Post by v2x »

Hi,

Does anyone know of a service to trade NDFs electronically, for example Korean Won? Or actually any way to trade restricted fx electronically? Any suggestions are fine.

Thanks for the help,

a quick one for you guys: when trading NDFs electronically, what decide of the quote to be used for settling them in the (unlikely) event where the official rate posting is interrupted?

many thanks

I dont understand why that would be a special problem for electronic NDFs? They use the same fixing as over the phone ones.

absolutely, my concern is more about the risk for the spot rate (on fixing date) not to be quoted as usual, which can lead to legal dispute; as far as i understand, these typically require a 2nd and 3rd "fall back rate" to be decided in advance, in the contract with the conterparty. now, if there is no known conterparty to the contract, who and what decide of these secondary fx-rates, in case of posting discontinuities...? (might be a trivial issue, as i'm not used to electronic trading). clear as mud?  thanks.

cheers

All right, Dante have you been satisfied when doing this with DB?

If yes, do you have anyone at DB I could get in touch with to set this up?

thanks in advance,
