Wall Street history book

Alright, it seems we're about to see a major tectonic shift on how the financial industry works. In order to have a better sense of where things might go, I am looking for a book on the history of wall street. In particular, I'd like to learn more about how the industry worked in the 50s and 60s (eg: traded products, compensation system, major players, etc).

Does any one know a good book on the subject?

I've seen a few books on amaozn.com, but I am bit lost on which one to buy.

I don't know of any good ones. Could you list the ones you are considering on Amazon ?

Not what you asked for, but this is a good paper on the NYSE's public relations campaign from 1954-1968 to restore public confidence in equity investing.

I noticed this dude: "Charles R. Geisst" wrote a few books -- anyone read his books, or something better?
