fund management software & solutions

Hello all, this is probably a long shot, but i am getting interested in some sort of fund management solution (excel will definitely do for now; something client/server will be developed further down the road, but if it were available..)



This is _not_ for a real fund operating as a separate legal entity, so compliance features are totally useless; i suspect ill have to code it from scratch as it will be used to manage an extremely small fund shared among friends. Basically the only requirements would be that it can aggregate various trading accounts into a single fund, so that withdrawals, deposits and the corresponding share # and value changes can be computed. The end goal would be to enable fund investors to access their "statements" online.



Again, this is a long shot and i doubt a solution exists that fits my needs -- but if you can suggest software that is used in the real world for similar purposes I'd love to take a look at its website ; as you may imagine, googling turns up a lot of material.

There are quite a few things that do this in the market - and most are based and pretty big fund administrators - although increasingly there are things offered more ASP.



I'd recommend that you start by looking at Advent Geneva - and see where that takes you.
