I see your point. I suppose it's just hard for me to imagine that it could be something as trivial and silly as you describe. It would be a terrible shame if that were the case.
Insofar as I may be heard by anything, which may or may not care what I say, I ask, if it matters, that you be forgiven for anything you may have done or failed to do which requires forgiveness...

But if you are looking for a good movie scenario, here is one.
1) Blocher and its local conservative clique are looking for reasons to force Federal Government to introduce limits on immigration.
2) Swiss Franc going through the roof makes Switzerland an attractive destination for EU workers. Good for conservatives' voice.
3) Comes big balls Hildebrand who "successfully" blocks the Swiss Franc.
4) Conservatives get rid of him thanks to a pretty well orchestrated scandal.
5) Difficult time for SNB: big balls is gone and government has no choice but to name someone who obviously does not fit physically in the role: Jordan.
6) May be Jordan is a puppet man the conservatives wanted in place... to ruin the scheme and allow for a higher Swiss Franc and here are the conservatives back with even more reasons to limit immigration.
I promise, no alcohol consumption was needed to elaborate that story.
Kashia, please come back, we need you back to run that bloody SNB. Please!!!
Note: yes, of course, the one who was actually running the SNB back in the good old days was Kashia-big-balls-Hildebrand and not her puppet husband. Blush

MadMax, some curiosities regarding the performance of std::accumulate are also related to it using operator+ (not operator+=) and issues with trying to optimize it with move semantics (from a compiler point of view) keeping standard-compliance; discussion here: http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/libstdc++/2011-01/msg00015.html
I solely mention those as "curiosities", since I wouldn't expect them to have an impact on "small" data structures (like a built-in double) (and the example above considers std::string), but it might still be of interest.
