further clarification. the indentation rules are a bit like brackets, they serve as sort of expanded proxies/equivelences of brackets, but they are more severe and unecessarly so. a bracket connotes the concept that the order in which you apply groups of operations matters. so, with the python they go over board and say we don't like brackets but we'll replace with an insanely fascist thing that all statements have to adhere to indentation. it's overkill and just appeals to some sort of visual cleanliness, whereas brackets adhere to mental cleanliness. mofos. yes I was self-trained in the romance languages of C++/java/c#, so there is that old skool thing going on. not that I'm rigid. If BrainFart makes sense, sure, let's do that. If KERF is the thing to do, fine bro. etc.

sorry for my own thread jack. I need to get my kid less into Minecraft and more into at least hacking or building the next disrupter to Minecraft. Or making millions doing Minecraft lets play videos. Or maybe I should just leave him alone and let him do whatever the fuck he wants to do.....
