So my previous experience, was in equity and commodity.(15 years - trading/quant trading) Recently moved to fixed income (quant research role) but def feeling a bit out of my depth ( both in terms of knowledge and technical skills) in the team given the relative experience of everyone on the team. Just been offered a role in market risk (Volcker / RENTD work ) etc . I feel l can contribute more to the team /desk but pay being offered is lower . Given the roles are completely different can ppl give their general thoughts on this?
