charts timeseries

Hi,

In Java I've got to use to jFreeChart + Swing to build online monitors for price movements, portfolio monitors etc.

Is there anything similar within python (pref.) or javascript or ...? domain?

Quick and dirty would be animation.FuncAnimation...

But I would consider something like http://bokeh.pydata.org/en/latest/

Want to make clear that I not really recommend it. I got something small to work with it, but would probably not use it in production

price (timeseries/candles) plot

orderbook

custom plots

I cross check and test indicators with matplotlib but this seem static.

We tend to decide on Tkinter, but I wanted to give a last try by asking here.

I personally use plot.ly/dash for mid-frequency intraday strategies monitoring/plots/etc. (this is Python + D3.js under the hood)

plotly is great, but they are not free or I am missing something.

Yes, just clone the GitHub repo and you are set to go. But some parts of it are not well documented...

We use https://www.highcharts.com/. Not free but not expensive.

Heard of quite a few people adapt https://grafana.com/ for this stuff too although it's generally more commonly used for standard healthcheck stuff.

I use grafana and kibana. But for very basic stuff (line and bar charts)
