sorry for unusual request:
i need to put together, for my bosses, a summary picture of compensation 2007 for equidy derivs traders in london.
i have good data for 2006 comp, and market rates up to end of summers, but i would need some colour on how it is actually now.
any snippet of info useful, even stuff like "JPM was flattish on 06", "MStanley fired a few juniors but the others..." etc
thanks

why do you need the truth for the 'correct' answer to this question? sounds like something where your input might be expected to be completely conflicted anyhow

good question. one might just lie and make the data up. just not my style.
have got some info in the meantime. basically a few houses doing v well, in others the core traders are doing well, the others less so. some houses still in the middle of discussions

would you mind posting those numbers here? I'd be interested in knowing what an average Eq Derivs trader makes at a reasonable shop. Mind you, average, not a star like Strange, just average.
